Beit Attfal Assumoud (The National Institution of Social Care & Vocational Training), Beirut, Lebanon

This institution was established in August 1976, initially designed as a place to house orphaned children. It expanded to provide cultural, recreational, and educational services that are targeted especially at youth and women. They aim to support mothers socially, financially, and through vocational training to be independent. They also provide scholarships that allow continuing education, and generally support development of the Palestinian community in Lebanon.
